The Mexico Now Festival opens with Benito Taibo presenting his first book “Persona Normal” at King Juan Carlos Center (NYU), Tue Nov 13, 2012, 7pm |
Passionate, irreverent, obsessive: Mexican writer Benito Taibo presents his first novel, Persona Normal, a funny, quixotic mosaic of 32 short stories and essays. In it, Taibo plays with language, paradox, and humor, drawing on his own vast cultural knowledge that proves he is anything but a “persona normal.”
