NYFW September 2017 shows Spring Summer 2018 collections to buyers, celebrities, and fashionistas.
New York Fashion Week used to be for the trade, but increasingly it is a pop culture phenomenon. Rihanna is everywhere. You can even buy tickets to a NYFW Experience.
Official New York Fashion Week and MADE New York shows are produced by global talent agency William Morris Endeavor / IMG. But there are more and more independent shows and presentations all over town.
Many designers are showing in other fashion capitals. Some are heading to Los Angeles. In fact, NYFW is beginning to look a lot like Los Angeles Fashion Week.
Believe it or not, fashion has a conscience. The CFDA is supporting the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Planned Parenthood. WME/IMG is giving some profits to UNICEF and pitching the slogan “Model Citizen.”
