El Destino is an Argentine tango milonga (dance party) at Solas in Manhattan’s East Village on Sundays from 6-11pm.
El Destino
NYC’s best social Argentine tango dancers embrace in an intimate room and dance to one of New York’s best tango DJs. The milonga’s name means “destiny.”
The milonga is hosted by Michelle Lamb and Tine Herreman.
[Editor:] I used to run into Michelle when she was teaching Argentine tango in Hawaii, New York, Buenos Aires and Paris. She is one of my four-continent tango friends and gets extra points for Hawaii.
Tine is one of New York City’s best tango DJs. She plays very danceable music and knows how to keep the floor moving.
