Politicians are addicted to elections. They wake up in the morning and go to sleep at night thinking about it. U.S. Senators serve for 6-year terms. Every two years, about one-third of U.S. Senators face reelection.
Elected officials count visits, letters, calls, texts, and emails. Contact your state’s U.S. Senators now and tell them what is important to you. Each state only has two.
Let’s stand up for ourselves and be counted. It doesn’t matter whether your senators are Democrats or Republicans.
Let’s talk to our relatives in other states. Explain the seriousness of the situation. Explain how the U.S. government works. Get our family members to contact their senators too.
Let’s teach our children how U.S. democracy works and how important it is to participate and to vote.
Only U.S. citizens can do this work. It’s up to those of us who are citizens to protect our families and Keep the American Dream Alive!
Meet Your U.S. Senator at a Town Hall Meeting
When the U.S. Senate is in recess, senators traditionally hold Town Hall meetings in their home states. Those who don’t hold town halls are afraid to face their own voters.
