Celebrate the 19th Amendment which gave women the right to vote. It was ratified on August 18, 1920.
The 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, prohibits denying the right to vote on the basis of sex.
However, voter suppression, some of it violent, still prevented many women of color from voting. This problem continues in the United States today, 100 years later. Change is long overdue.
If we don’t use your rights, we are in danger of losing them. Be the change, register to vote.
Registering to vote takes two minutes. Do it for your family. Do it for our children.
Each One, Teach One
Then “Each One, Teach One.” After you register, show a friend or family member how they can register. We move forward together, but the only way is by voting.
